Lexmark T430dn
This printer is a serious workhorse in a small package. It combines a fast print speed, nice features, great design, and a decent sticker price.
This is a great small businesses with limited space and high demands. The T430dn is recommended for 65,000 pages per month. The print speed is a respectable 30 ppm(pages per minute). As a small workgroup printer, it is ideal. It has an attractive display and network of buttons and controls.
There are enough connections that you should be able to connect to any computer, including high-speed USB, parallel, and Ethernet. The T430dn is an extremely easy printer to network with. The drivers are also really easy to use and work with. They help you to change preferences on your page and print layouts.
The print quality is excellent, and the images are sharp and rich. It also has several paper trays holding 100 sheets, 250 sheets, and there is an option to add another 250 capacity. There is also the option to print on several different kinds of media.
The memory should be sufficient for general use, but if you are planning on really putting a lot of printing through this machine, you may want to opt for the increased memory that, get this… costs more than the printer itself. Expect to pay well over $1,200 extra for an extra 256 mb of RAM.
All in all, this printer has some great user-friendly features targeted to the office environment, great performance, and all wrapped in a really compact package. In my opinion it’s a pretty good value for the money.
