Microsoft Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is Microsoft’s answer to the Playstation 3. It has its benefits and it’s downfalls. The console itself is actually really nice looking with stylish lines and cool contours. The performance is excellent for the money in terms of pure gaming. While the number of games that really stand out isn’t huge yet, Im sure we don’t have anything to worry about as the games get pumped out.
The performance is commendable on this thing. To really get the full effect, you need to play the previous year’s consoles, and then play the Xbox 360 just afterwards. Its really is a huge difference in so many aspects, from the menus to the picture quality.
The networking capabilities are really handy, and work well for everything from shopping to playing other people in real time over the internet. The other cool features is that you can still use most of the old Xbox games in the 360. The controllers come wireless too, which is always a plus if your TV is pretty far from your couches.
There are definitely some downsides to this console, which I am hoping that Microsoft will fix in their updates of the machine. These are things like a gigantic power supply adapter, and no wireless playing over the internet. I’m sure that since Playstation 3 has incorporated these features, Microsoft will most likely bring their console up to speed. For now though, if it’s just gaming that your only interested in with one of these consoles, then the Xbox 360 is probably a great choice based on price and performance.
